Daffodils by the Drive

Were some planted a hundred years ago when the cabin was built from trees on the land?
The daffodils have spread around the mountainside
where they thrive on neglect.

As soon as....

....the crocuses quit the tiniest , toughest Daffodils burst into bloom.

Suddenly Spring!

Snow melt and a day of sun and the snow crocus blooms

in unexpected places

amidst the debris of Winter
